Welcome to these little documentaries. This blog is essentially a visual autobiography, with extra bits of inspiration and swoon-worthy whatnots thrown in. I'm a writer, photographer, illustrator, magazine lover/hoarder, vegan, perpetual wanderluster, and promising candidate for future cat lady and spinster. The seemingly universal beauty of everyday life is what interests me most. I currently spend my days doodling, writing, riding my bicycle, experimenting in the kitchen, attempting to the learn the grandmotherly arts, and, to pay the rent, bussing tables at a 'hip,' vegetarian restaurant.
May of 2011 marked the end of my six-year undergraduate pursuit at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, from which I earned a BA in visual journalism and BFA in photography. After a few awesome experiences (as an editorial intern with Fox Cities Magazine, assistant editor of the Advance-Titan's the B-Side, and editorial intern with 5280 Magazine), I've finally begun to settle into this post-college life and pursue personal creative endeavors, not think about graduate school for a while, and take the freelancing world by storm (which so far means writing for Modern In Denver Magazine).
I post nearly all of my photography on Flickr and I tweet a lot of randomness on Twitter. If we've met in real life, or you're super awesome and want to meet, let's be friends on Facebook. You can see what books I'm reading on Goodreads and the music I've been listening to lately on Last.fm, and then check out the one time lapse I've attempted on Vimeo. Occasionally I'll surf Tumblr, but I'll admit, I'm a Stumbler.
I'm all for affordable art. Trades are also cool. Jobs are wonderful too! If you'd like to say hello, please do not hesitate to contact me! I'd love to hear from you.
